Ok I have seen stuff written about differents states rules regarding debts but does anyone know if ohio has one and where I would find it? thanks
Statute - Fair Debt Collection Practices Act 15 U.S.C.A. §1692 et seq. Under Ohio law, a violation of this federal law is considered a violation of C.S.P.A., R.C. 1345.01 et. seq. Ok I found this but what the heck does it mean and what the heck is CSPA.
Ahh well. I think have have enough evidence on UCB to nail em. My favorite part is when they said(and I taped this) that they did not send validation and just sent an itemized statement. Since they are so close, and it had been more than a week, I asked them when they sent it and she said last friday, or maybe saturday, or maybe that is when they got the paperwork ready. I am not sure.*SMACK* I have not gotten anything and when they go and tell the judge they sent it I will just play the tape of her not having a clue.
Who is the consumer protection agency in Ohio? Do you contact the Atty Gen, banking dept? Could you point me in the right direction? I am dealing with an original creditor in Ohio, so I need to send a complaint but I don't know who to.

I just sent UCB a letter of intent to sue for FCRA violation on reporting a derogatory tradeline that i proved to them wasnt mine. i waited two months for them to remove... got tired if there bullcrap and faxed intent to sue.. next day pulled report and poof tradeline removed.... are you speaking with some numbnut named sam rickard?
United Collection bureau (419) 866-5130 is the fax I know they receive the faxes but they choose the ignore path on them. I also sent an intent to sue letter via fax to their registered agent marc gertner but of course that was ignored also. 2 more days until lawsuit filing time.

I faxed it to them and made it attention to their registered agent. I am sure the president will read it though.
