Asset Acceptance shows up on my reports EQ "unknown dispute-resolution pending", TU "account information disputed by consumer", and EX "your statement: account in dispute under FCBA" (I never added that statement, but whatever).

I must have at some point asked for validation but have no record and of course they never sent anything. They did send collection letters though so if I could magically "find" a letter I sent them those would be violations right?

The beginning of Apr. I sent validation CRRR and put it in dispute with EQ. Asset sent a letter that they would "order" the documentation from the OC and get back to me. Today I pull EQ and they apparently verified because the dispute line is gone from the report and they're still there. That's a violation right?

The biggie is on the letter they sent me, the account number they have for the OC isn't right. The last number is wrong on it.

So how do I get them to go away? Please explain in as much detail as you can since I'm very new to this and want to do this right. Thank you so much!

Just keep track of all your correspondence and paperwork regarding asset acceptance and be ready to sue and mean it.

Also, you have the option of filing complaints with your state consumer protection agency and the BBB.

You can email me and I will give you more detail. Your email is turned off.

I am almost 100% sure they read this board alot of collection agencies and credit bureaus do also.
