but I'm not real thrilled with the amount or apr. They gave me $1500 at 18.9%. If they don't deal, I won't even activate it.

    LKH,

I called Target Visa customer for lowering APR. They told me that you must have at least 6 month payment history since the account opened.
In other words, you must hace 6 months payment in order to increase your credit limit or lowering APR.

Now that it cost you that hard inquiry and you actually got it you wouldn't activate?

I don't know. I was a little ticked when I posted that. I'll call them tomorrow and see what they have to say about increasing the line and decreasing the apr. I know several people here have been successful with that.

    George,

Call them a couple of times and you will run into one good customer service. He/She will lower you and your wife's rate. My card is lowered from 15.9% to 12.9%.

It's probably been brought up before, but has anyone used Planetfeedback to request a lower than one tier apr or line increase? If customer service can raise to limit and drop the apr one tier, the Executive Office can do more.

Hmmm. . . that's a good question, George. I'm not sure as I don't have a Target card. I would guess the letter should go to the bank on the back of the card. They control and manage the account. That would be Retailer's, right? That is who I would send it to. Good luck!!

    LKH,
I got approved 2 mos ago for $12500 at 18.9%, when the card showed up, I called the number on the back of the card not the activation #. I told them that it was my highest apr card, was there anything they could do to lower it. She said, I see that I can offer you 12.9%. I said yes. Then she activated it for me.

They have been pretty eratic if you've read all the posts about the card. I haven't had a single problem. After I received the card I charged all my holiday gifts, got my bill 2 weeks before it was due.

Yes I did and was told they couldn't do anything until I activated the card. Sounds like a crock to me.
