    Yesterday I posted that I went to equifax.com to check the status of my investigation. I didn't get the "investigation in progress" message I received in the past....I went to start another investigation & the items I disputed were not there for me to investigate.
    I sent myself the confirmation when I first started the disputes...I checked the email today & noticed that two investigation numbers were listed...it looks like this:
    =================================
    You will need this in the event that you
    want to view your FICO® score analysis in
    www.myFICO.com anytime again in the
    next 35 days.

    investigation #200XXXX88
    investagation #200XXXX79

    Your investigation has begun!
    Use Confirmation # 200XXXX79 for future reference.
    ==================================

    One shows the items I disputed still listed & the other does not....wtf?
    Does anyone have a clue why I would have 2 investigation numbers for only 1 investigation?

    I think they treat each item being investigated as a single "investigation." Thus, if you dispute two accounts, then you will have two investigations in progress.
