Hiya. Well, I'm pretty new to this board, and I've read and read and read, and my brain is completely fried. Ugh. Sooooo, since I'm failing to wrap my mind around this, I'm wondering if any of you good people would be willing to take a look at these negatives and give me some clue as to where to begin cleaning it up? Be forewarned: It's an UGLY one, and I won't go into the details, we all have our ugly past! Hehehehe....anyway, thanks so much. It's a good puzzle, so if you don't feel up to it, that's cool. Just shut this thing down and move along to the next (hopefully more interesting) post. THANKS!
Oh, and by the way -- I'm working now on rehabbing my student loans, so there is that....

I'm hoping I'm not committing any board faux pas by doing this....I'm just desperate for some advice, here, and just cannot wrap my mind around ALL the great advice on here! Thanks SO much....

hope u have alot of stamps and a wet tongue. u have some writing to do.

    1. leave those new accounts alone. look like u disputed them, right??

    2. dispute them with the CRA first. those old ones should go quick.

    3. search for newbie posts. will get u going. feel free to email or post..

HAHAHA! Yeah, I know...like I said, I'm JUST getting started. Thanks for the help (keep it coming, folks, please!!!). Anyway, I haven't disputed ANYTHING whatsoever. Not yet. In fact, I just pulled this today for the very first time (finally trying to take control of this business, you know?).

So. Any, any, ANY info is appreciated, and yes, I'll try to read some MORE posts....it's just that, wow, I'm really bad about following threads into the strrrrrrrrrrangest places.

You could dispute that this account was closed one month before it was opened...

It is good that you are starting to try to take control of your life, there is LOTS of good advice on this board for cleaning up your credit report, disputing etc. etc. I am going to give you some VERY different advice. DO NOTHING !!
You have several large debts that are obviously within SOL. The reason you havent been sued is that your report looks like s__t, and you have made no effort to clear it up. People who start to clean up the reports are people who are working, looking to buy something etc. assoon as yo show that it MIGHT be worthwhile for one of your creditors to sue you, THEY WILL.Find out when the SOL is in your State, wait until after it is past, then you can SAFELY start to clear your reports and regain your credit. In the meantime do NOT apply for any credit, do NOT apply for a mortgage do NOT apply for a car loan.

Wow, okay, more good advice, here. THANK YOU both for the input. It all sounds logical (and hey, geez, I didn't even see the closed-before-opened thing, sharp eyes)!

Anybody else? Why Chat, I think you might be bang-on with that idea. I wasn't sure if I should wait (6-year SOL on most of these things) or just go right ahead and hit it. Other thoughts? Anybody? Anybody?
