   How long do old accounts (good and paid off) sit on your credit report? I noticed yesterday on my free credit report w/ experian (which I'm about to cancel) it's not free, that I have some accounts I closed in 1999 still showing.

   Neg info should stay on about 7 years. If you closed the accounts then you will need to dispute with the CRA's.

   If you want your free credit reports, go to www.annualcreditreport.com. I prefer to download the order form and get them mailed to me. It makes them easier to read.
