Anyone know how long one's past addresses stay on each CR? EXP has a habit of listing EVERY possible variation. I have nearly 2 pages alone of about 20 different variations of 2 OLD addresses I have not been at for years.

Anyone know the best way to get rid of them?

Has anyone had luck chaning an address with an old creditor, even if the account is closed? I have seen a few TL's updated by creditors that are closed accounts, and old so each time it is updated the old address pops back in the report. It's so ludicrous and should be one thing that is not allowed.

    Feedback???

I've had good luck w/removing addresses and other personal info by simply calling. I used to write them in, but found they kept reappearing and found they "stuck" better when I called.

As for old addresses w/old TLs, get their contact info and let them know your address has changed. Assuming the TL has no problems, of course. <grin>

I took a copy of my credit report and crossed out the old addresses, and some that weren't mine, and sent that with a dispute letter saying "never lived here."

The sent a revised report back and everyone that I crossed out were gone.
