I was told by others online to have my old addresses taken off my accounts at the CRAs before I started the dispute process. Sounds like sound advice, but how do you ask them to do this? It seems like they want to have old addresses on your account in order to help verify their info. I have registered with all 3 now with my new address. But it seems to good to be true that all I have to do now is just phone them up and tell them to take off all previous addresses from 3-5 years ago. Any advice? Thanks, Cosmo
I've found the best way to dispute personal info is to call them. I used to write letters, even CMRR, and found that half of the information never changed. When I do it on the phone, I go step by step. If they're not going to change something (never been a problem), I hear it right away.

And did you have them take off old addresses? I am trying to find out what kind of actual dialogue is used because I dont' want to sound like an idiot if I should call them. Thanks, Cosmo

"The only correct address is my current address - 999 Main Street, Anwhere, 12345. Please remove the address that reads blah blah and the address that reads blah blah". You will be sent an updated CR in the mail. New address is trickier w/EQ - they wanted a copy of a utility bill, driver's license, etc. Still waiting for that to appear. EXP and TU just had it appear as someone reported/updated a TL.
