Old collection ruining me!

    Sorry, but that's really bad advice. I hope you meant "validation, estoppel, and intent to sue". Nutcase is not recommended for unpaid collections. i think you're talking about the validation sequence. In any case, Nutcase is never followed by estoppel, rather it's followed by "Son of Nutcase" etc., in a completely different sequence. While I don't disparage your right to reorder them or to even write new letters entirely, lol, I'm just talking about the two different tracks that have been followed mostly with success by many people here. Please read the FAQ thread and the links listed within the FAQ for more details in particular regarding Nutcase. Thanks!

    You say this is an old collection, how old, not when they put it either with a CA or on your credit report.
    DJReverb told you the truth, it's bunk, they can remove it.


    This cannot be stressed enough! Gargoyle girl is right, read and re-read the top posts. It is very exciting to start on repairing your credit, but, if you go off half cocked it will come back to bite you in the end run.

    The CCC did'nt cause lates to th CA, but I have lates on some CC & personal loan stuff, mostly caused by the CCC.
