I recommend that you hang onto your old reports forever, for a couple of reasons.

    1) If the negatives are ever reported again, then you have documentation of previous reporting (and accuracy). This allows you to have all the dates, content, etc. if you ever need to take an action to court. This is prevention for the old "Murphy's Law Syndrome"; the minute you throw out those reports, you'll need them!

    2) I have found it a great exercise to review the "old" reports to remind yourself of how easy it is to slip into the bad habits that can cause a bad CR. It is a great activity to review them once in a while to remind yourself of the hard work you put into your credit repair, and revitalize the commitment to maintaining good credit. It is very easy to get a bit if a big head once your reports start getting better. A periodic review of the "bad old days" helps you keep your feet on the ground.

    3) You should also keep all the records and documents for all the items you repaired. Again, you will never know when you will need them. Collection agaencies have a way of pulling up old items, and trying to collect on ancient history. If you have everything on file, then it is easy to correct.
