I have an old collection on my credit report dating early 2000. Since the lease agreement is a written contract, the SOL in North Carolina is three years for written contracts. The leasing company has also changed ownership in the past two years. The collection agency is still reporting on my credit report. How should I proceed? * Use a stream of Validation Letters * State to the CA - this debt is outside the SOL Need Advise from the Credit Gurus... Please Advise.
