I am a newbie here just starting. I have been reading the posts for several weeks. My first question...I have a chargeoff/voluntary repo on CR stating first activity 1994. Should this be deleted? Do I have to dispute it ? The FAQ on this site says never use online dispute but board members seem to use it...Advise? My scores range from 530 to 584 alot of work ahead. Mostly medical derogs.Thanks in advance.
I have had good luck with online dispute. Problem is you do not get the certified mail. You need to look at when the account first went derogatory I assume you bought it in 1994 but when was it repo'ed what year?
You need to know the date of the last payment before the account went delinquent and was never caught up. ><- <>- ><- <> ~~~ ><- <>- ><- <> ><- <>- ><- <> ~~~ ><- <>- ><- <>
It looks like March 1998 is when the account went negative. When does the seven years begin? What should my next step be?
