OMG! Mr. Cooke is so great

    I just posted that I got the e-mail that said to call him and was told it was pretty standard. I didn't have much hope.

    Anyway he just called and is raising my CL $700 to cover any BT for my Providian account & lowering my interest to 12.99 and unsecuring the card & applying the $49 security deposit to my bablance which is only $100 right now.

    I can't believe it. He treated me with total respect and did everything I asked and more.

    I love this site. I have learned so much here and I am finally feeling like I am recovering from the horror of BK.

    I guess I spoke too soon. LOL Actually, that is standard procedure. But, it worked for you so congrats.

    I sent my inquiry through Planetfeedback.com. I got an e-mail from him asking me to call.

    I left him a voicemail and he called me back saying everything was done.

    I had given all of my account info in the pfb letter(didn't opt for the shared letter.)

    I wrote in the letter that cap one had so far treated me well and I wanted to continue my relationship and get my prov. account paid off.

    He was awesome. This was all accomplished in less than 24 hours.

    Why did you mention paying off Providian in the letter? Are they associated with CAP 1?

    I wish I could say such nice things about him today.

    I asked for a limit increase on my 2 year old $1000 classic card and was denied. Said only every 6-8 months and it wasn't time yet.

    I told him I was never offered the increase /review every 6 months. And when I had asked the rep about it, she was very condecending. He appologized for it but that was it.

    I told him I really didn't like being denied and at the same time recieving a pre-approved platinum card
    app. every week. I told him I wanted to carry one card with a decent limit.

    I already have a platinum toy cap one 500.00 card.
    I told him I felt I was being exploited having to pay 2 annual fees for a total of $1500.00 credit line and recieving offers for more each week. Why not just give me a limit increase and keep the new accounts?

    He then "validated" my feelings. Sheesh, what is he a therapist now? Really pissed me off. Then as I continued to tell him how I felt about not reporting credit lines, ect. all he kept saying yes sir, yes, sir.

    I told him I would keep the cards till may when I would cancel as it will age to 2 years at that time.

    He said if I kept it till July , he may be able to do something then. Yea, right and generate another annual fee before I don't get what I deserve and cancel.

    So after the conversation, I promptly applied for another plat. card which will be a toy card. So when I go to cancel I can hit them with 3 accounts that I will cancel. Maybe I can squeeze a forth in there by that time as well.

    I want to make a statement when I cancel.

    I wanted to get the CL increase to do a BT to Providian so that they would be paid off. I told Mr. cooke that my balance was $660 and he gave me a $700 CL increase & told me to call customer service to do the BT transfer.
