I need a "starting over" checking account. After a long extended illness, I have a recent charge off on my credit and a new Chex Systems listing.

I'm back at work and need a place to direct deposit a bi-weekly paycheck.

    Thank for any responses.

TD Waterhouse Bank opened an account for me while I was still on Chex.

I've since disputed with Chex and had the item removed.

I was in the same spot as you 5 years ago. You can open a savings account to have your check deposited in, if you want an institution where you have physical access. Most places don't do a chex systems check to open savings. Specifically, try to get into a credit union. They will open a checking account usually within a year.
