How well does it work sending a CRA another CRA's report showing that an item was deleted? I know that they don't have to acknowledge it, but I was just wondering. Which CRA is the easiest to work with that way? Thanks Charlie

Actually, I was planning on doing this as well... but probably like you, i do not want this to backfire. Anyone have any luck doing this?

    From the FCRA:

Section 611(5)(D) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act:

Automated reinvestigation system. Any consumer reporting agency that compiles and maintains files on consumers on a nationwide basis shall implement an automated system through which furnishers of information to that consumer reporting agency may report the results of a reinvestigation that finds incomplete or inaccurate information in a consumer's file to other such consumer reporting agencies.

BUT, do they adhere to the FCRA? NO That's what I'm asking if anyone has any success and which CRA they have had the best success with. Charlie

Very good question, would be interested in this as well. I have had luck getting an item removed from one CRA report and then come back as verified on another CRA report.

I would NOT show a CRA anything from another CRA...unless it is like showing EXPERIAN that my AMEX BLUE is on EQUIFAX and TRANS UNION...(EXPERIAN "HARD" DELETED IT)...I think...

    JUST MY OPINION...

I have done this by sending photocopies of my reports with only relevant information visible (takes a ton of White-out) and have had a fair amount of success. Truthfully, I wish that all my reports had the same information on them, whether it be positive or negative. It seems that if the CRAs played by the rules, this whole disputing thing would be alot smoother.
