Well, right before I found this site (maybe 4 days, only!) I paid 3 small collection accounts that I didn't know about until I pulled my report. After reading here, I disputed all 3 online with the CRB's. Just heard from EX and one was deleted (the biggest one). The remaining 2 remained, both Comcast with different CA's ($93 & $37). I'm in the process of moving to TX, so I'll let them sit a week or so, then we'll try the litigious nut series with these two. What company in their right mind would fight this over these amounts?!? It'll cost them more than I paid them to fight...
Congrats on all of them, and good luck with the last. I agree with you about right minded companies. It makes no sense to spend any time with them, but someone on their side has to be gutsy and smart and say " it ain't worth it! "
