I disputed a couple of items twice on Transunion & I have gotten a letter back from them stating that since it had already been verified once through FCRA dispute that they would not verify again because it was frivolous & I would need to provide a letter from OC if the information was incorrect. Is there any was around this or do you only get one shot at it????
How soon..........truthfully did you send another dispute? Also, did you dispute directly to TU or are you in a area serviced by CBC (TU affiliate)? SnakeMan
I usually haven't had this problem on TU, but I have had it on EX, if the account is a CA, can you contact the OC and see if there is anything that the OC would be willing to do. I had to have EQ verify through the OC, which had changed ownership 3 times and the OC didn't want the aggrivation of dealing with the CA which the first owners hired, and refused to close the account when the OC asked. How old is the account? Is it within the SOL? How much is the account? All of these questions come into play when you are deciding how agressive you want to get in disputing an account. The last thing you want is to dispute a BIG tradeline which is still within the SOL so agressively that the CA decides to say "We'll fight back."
