Hi all, been lurking for quite a while. I did not file BK7 (no one seems interested in coming after me civilly) and am back to credit repair. I have a lot of baddies, especially with charge offs and late pays.

I want to get some secured cards. I already have five secured loans paying themselves off through credit unions. My intent is not to go crazy again, but to improve my credit so I can get a decent car in the future and a home. There is a special someone in my life now and I fear his excellent credit with my sub sub prime will cause problems in the financial future.

I have $1,000. Would it be better for me to put it all on one, or do two or three cards? i do not trust myself at this time to get more than $1,000 of revolving credit.

    My thought:

Put $500 on a card through my CU.
    Put $300 on Skypass Secured.
    Put $200 on Fleet Secured.

Anyone know how strict Fleet is?

I'm curious what people think about the number of cards. Thanks all.

One thing you may want to check in advance is whether any of these companies have a minimum amount they require for secured credit.

    Those are the minimum amounts.

Three should be fine. I would also consider going for National City's card as it DOESN'T report as secured to the CRAs.
