maybe i'm just old-fashioned but there is a thrill to having actual paper, handled and signed by the recipient, that proves that i've done things; things like CRRR. i imagine that those papers carry a certain psychological weight in court because they are tougher to forge than "computer docs", e.g. the "true" docs related to bush in the military that were apparently recently fabricated and, just to show my age, the "autobiography of howard hughes" by clifford irving (i think.)

OTOH, online faxing is so much faster and i'm trying to get my credit improved to the point that i can get school loans in december.

i'm not planning to go to court, though i fear it not in the least, and want to create a good paper trail.

so, is there a verdict? old-fashioned CRRR or onlive faxing?

    thanks.

I vote for CMRRR, but then I'm also old-fashioned in a lot of ways.

But it's hard to prove the fax was received by a person. Even a delivery receipt means it was received by a MACHINE. The green card shows it was received by a PERSON.

This applies not only to correction of erroneous credit reporting, but to negotiations in general:

When I am trying to force a negotiation to a conclusion, with no backtracking on the part of the other party, I do both. Contemporaneous FAX to party I have spoken to, with summary of what was requested, agreed to, or what they said they would do, with follow up CRRR if I am dealing with a hostile opponent.

Your goal is to drive the process to its final conclusion, and enforce that conclusion. If it is worth your time to do it, it is worth CRRR on top of FAX.
