Where can I find online trading that doesn't have the $1000 minimum deposit? I want to do some investing, but only have around $500 cash. Thanks
Yes, that's correct. Plus if you sign up from this page: http://www.etrade.com/cgi-bin/gx.cg...de_25free_500.html&SC=C377723?traxui=HP_V_EH1 You'll get up 25 trades free in the first month. Or if you sign up from the front page, you can chose from a $75 Target gift card or $25 deposited into your account. Best of all, unlike the others, you can started trading today.
Thanks Hope. They didn't give me a choice, they just gave me the 25.00 bucks. I'd rather of had the 75.00 Target card. Oh, well..... Shawn (the helicopters have been swarming around here all day...kind of eerie.)
Atlanta. There is a AFB kinda near by, but I usually don't see a lot of helicopters. I am sure it's no big deal, but it's driving my dog crazy. Shawn
No way! I just signed up today and transfered only $500 from my checking account. Look at it again. If you select "Cash" account, then you only have to start with $500. Also, I didn't nknow Sharebuilder had no minimum. I have that, too. But you do have to wait for them to open the account in a week to 10 days. I like them both, but I use Sharebuilder for my dollar-based investing and intend to use eTrade for my real-time trading. With the bonus of a month of free trades, it will sav me a bunch as I'll be doing limit order this month and next. Also I use Schwab for mutual funds (stock commission is too, too high, but they do cover a few that Sharebuilder doesn't so I've had to resort to using them for stocks once or twice.) Ask me, if you have any questions.
