I don't know how it happened but I overpaid BofA CC by $70. It now shows a balance of -$70 and this is the final statement before they report to the CRA's.

I wanted BofA to report a $0 balance to the CRA's, but who knows what gets reported now, with a credit to me on the balance.

Do you think -$70 is going to hurt FICO scores?? It seems like it shouldn't, but who knows what FICO does with a credit on the balance. I need every point I can get in the next month.

You could always go and reward yourself with a $70 purchase :)

There is no problem with that. it will be reported as 0 balance. You can request a credit balance refund check, or let it stay on the account.

Ok, thats good. Thanks for sharing, looks like I will be sleeping tonight:)

I have been working so hard not applying FOR ANY CREDIT in the last six months so I wouldn't kill my scores all for the next few months.

Oh and Jlynn, with the extra $$ I treated DH and I to our favorite ((sshhhh...french champagne....)) :)
