Open Account or Written Contract?

    Hi kbean,

    Right, my above post quote is from an ER statement.

    I figured the above ER visits were Open based on what they wrote on the statement. It looks much like a utility bill.

    Now the ambulances are Closed/Written based on the one time statements.

    The medical tests at other places are Closed/Written too.

    My concern was with ER since they are nearly $2000 dollars each.

    Side note: I was told the ambulance was $500 dollars originally . They are only showing $290 for each joy ride on my CRs. Good news for me since there is three all together. I finally took financial responsibility and decided to hitchhike on the last visit. :-O LOL Gheesh, the hospital is less then a mile away.

    Goods and services are covered under each State's UCC statutes, NOT under the SOL for contracts.

    Most States use the standard 4 year limit. SOME may have a shorter time period for health provider bills.

    Utility bills are considered services, as are medical bills.
