Pertaining to the SOL of an unsecured debt, e.g. credit cards, Is a credit card account in Louisiana considered open ended or a written agreement?
Hi, Mr Alan, another newcomer asked this very question just a few days ago! It's an unusual question; I did a search and found that nobody's ever asked that except for you two. The other newcomer who asked used the nickname "?girl" and she asked, "I am trying to find out if credit cards are considered open ended agreements or written contracts in Louisiana, so that I know what the SOL is for this as it is either 3 or 10 years. Thanks in advance." Here's the link: http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&postid=113899 In that thread, I posted a few legal discussion board links related to credit. Although I didn't have the answer directly, I hope someone on those boards can point the way. Doc P.S. Caribe Ent., lol
I don't think they know, or they would have posted an answer. But I will bump the question up for you, and hope you luck out.
Here are links to those credit-related legal message boards again. The answer is out there somewhere, lol: FreeAdvice.com - Credit & Collection: http://forum.freeadvice.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=18 Findlaw's Message Boards - Credit Cards: http://boards.pub.findlaw.com/cgi-bin/WebX.fcgi?230@@.ef05ac5 Findlaw's Message Boards - Credit Reporting: http://boards.pub.findlaw.com/cgi-bin/WebX.fcgi?230@@.ef0e230 Findlaw's Message Boards - Creditors: http://boards.pub.findlaw.com/cgi-bin/WebX.fcgi?230@@.ef05ac1 Hope this helps.
