What do I do about accounts that state they are open - even though they were included in bk7? Also, I pulled a PG report today and noticed that accounts that were previously reported as closed are now being reported as opened. This occured on 3 accounts - what is up with that?
My closed accounts say... PAID/NEVER LATE BALANCE $0 "ACCOUNT CLOSED BY CONSUMER" I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT BK... You could dispute them **CLOSED** with the CRA
Just wondering, were they ever notated as "included in bk"? If they were, they should show a zero balance and not show as open. All of my "included in bk" accounts are at the first part of my report, after the public record and before the positives I have. Mine have never changed in two years, I have no idea why yours have, unless they never had the bk notation to begin with. If you've never disputed these before, I'd go for the "not mine" and hope they delete. If not, you can dispute the dates then. I don't have privacy guard, can't comment on those accounts changing, hopefully someone can post of thier experience. Also, have you checked all of your reports to see if there is uniformity in the changes? Newstdt
I have an acct that has been closed for about 18 months. It is reporting correctly on the direct from Equifax report. But on PG, it is showing as an open acct. So, I would bet that this is a PG issue of incorrect reporting.

Re: Re: Open vs Closed accounts I have the same problem and I think its ruining my score from PG. I just looked at my EQ and it doesn't have a column for CLOSED or OPEN. How would you know if it is OPEN/CLOSED by looking at EQUIFAX????
