Now that I'm finally legal, I was looking at various cards to apply for. Any suggestions? I looked at Fleet's website and saw they have the different cards (Titanium, Platinum, Classic, etc). Would they be worth trying. I know some here say they are the devil, whereas others say they are ok. What do you think?

    My scores are as follows:

*Equifax FICO- 695 (thanks to the lovely inquiry deletions :)
    *TransUnion Fake-O Score- 716
    *Experian CreditExpert Score- 746

I hope these scores are sufficient. I'll be hitting the two year mark on my credit union Visa next month. Thanks for any advice you may offer.

I really can't tell your chances of getting a card. I am a Fleet customer via their takeover of Summit Bank, so they have my home equity and an auto loan. I used to have my business checking account with them and they were killing with their fees. This time I love them, as my personal bank they have a great product in homelink and it is free with a combined balance of 10,000 or 4.50 a month and their rate on my Fleet card is a reasonable 6.9%.

So would you say I'm on the "edge" of approval and not being approved? It seems like they have an advanced website. Would I likely qualify for at least the classic card?

Thanks Lizard. I'll look into that. It sounds like a deal, but there aren't a lot of shell stations around, but I'd gladly make an adjustment for a 5% rebate. What about the GM card? Doesn't it also have 5%, and would you suggest staying away from it because Household Bank issues it?

I agree with the Lizard´s advice. GM household is
subprime and gives low limits and Fleet is not better either.

I would try Citibank, MBNA, Bank of America or Chase.
