I obtained a deletion letter from a CA about 8 months ago.

the acct was purchased from the OC. ( debt was past SOL for both suit and CB reporting)

now all of a sudden I recieve some disclosure notice to opt out from them providing my info to 3 rd parties.

would this possibly mean that they are planning to sell this old acct off to someone else?

should I respond to this or is this a new web of pursuit?

The first thing that comes to mind is them selling it to mailing lists - I have opted out of everything I can think of - I get enough junk e-mail and regular mail.

    what mailing list?

can a Ca resell the acct over and over when its past SOL to sue or report?

Yes, bottom feeder low life CA's do this all the time and intimidate people to pay debts that they legally don't owe!

Under GLB they are required to send a "Privacy Notice" to anyone who is on their systems, some include a disclaimer that the GLB Privacy Notice is required irregardless of the status of the account.

So, I would send them an OPT OUT demand anyhow, just as a precaution.
