Hello everyone, I love this site its amazing that all this information is not teached in high school or college. Anyways my question is regarding the Opt out feature on the 3 CB websites that block all those anoying offers in the mail. Does opt out hurt your credit or does it help by those companies not getting the quick glimpse of your credit stuff that shows up on your report as a inquiry?
AFFECT YOUR CREDIT SCORE IN NO WAY--EXCEPT YOU GET NO GOOD OFFERS BY MAIL...MANY OFFERS ARE BETTER THAN "OFF THE RACK OFFERS" or "COLD CALL OFFERS" I WOULD NEVER "OPT OUT"---BUT THAT IS ME!!!
When I have to walk 4 houses to get my mail...ONE PIECE OF JUNK MAIL IS BETTER THAN NO MAIL!!! 90+ DEGREES -36 DEGREES BLIZZARD 36" OF SNOW ON GROUND POURING RAIN 50-80 MPH WIND
Every day your mailbox contains another interesting offer of credit or merchandise, such as catalogs, vacations, or credit cards. Shopping by mail gives you numerous choices and opportunities. However, while millions of Americans welcome these choices, others prefer not to receive such mailings. Opt-Out Contact Information TransUnion wants to help companies give American consumers the choices they want. This choice includes the right to say, "No, thank you" to their offers. If you want your name and address removed from mailing lists obtained from the main consumer credit reporting agencies â?? TransUnion, Experian, Equifax, and Innovis â?? call 888-5OPTOUT (888-567-8688), or write to the following address: TransUnion LLC's Name Removal Option P.O. I like promos for several reasons. First is bumpage. Second is to see who is "looking" at me. Most of the promo inqs do not result in an offer in my mailbox, but if I see that Amex, Chase, BofA or Citi is looking at me, I'll feel better about taking a chance applying. My favorite mismatch is Ameriquest. I assume they look for recent Ch7 so I got some offers from them to refinance. I'd love to, but I don't own a home. If they'll refinance my apartment, that would be schweet!
I keep getting letters about refinancing my FHA or VA mortgage, and I have had a conventional for about three years now! And I love the ones about consolidating to get out of debt--at 20+%!!! Maybe they should pull CURRENT info!!
