Well, I decided to call AMEX to see if I could trade my Optima Platinum for Blue since I have my Fidelity Platinum and won't be needing 2 Platinum cards. I called the number on the back of the card and selected option '4'. The rep tried to get me to go to either Delta SkyMiles (regular or gold) or Hilton Honors. I told him that I didn't want either that I wanted Blue and he told me that due to the high demand of Blue, that it currently has restrictions and I can't transfer to that at the moment. He said that the restriction was temporary and I should check back. Then he wanted to record the conversation stating that I was going to keep my Optima Platinum and NOT cancel....I never said that I wanted to cancel. I just wanted to either product transfer to blue or keep Optima. Guess I'll keep waiting...

Why don´t you just apply for the Blue. My brother and a friend were approved instantly online last week. 2k each.

Because I know they check Equifax and my score is in the gutter (around 627 according to Privista). Also, Ford is reporting that my auto loan from 1995 is charged off with a $462 balance so I know AMEX won't go for that. They BARELY went for it when I applied for the Delta SkyMiles card w/ the chargeoff reporting as $0. So I'm basically at a stand still until Ford fixes their entry. They mailed me confirmation the other day.

Try this one instead: 1-800-947-8192. I talked my sister into doing a product transfer and she got cold feet when the rep answered the phone. Good luck to you.
