I filed bk 7, was discharged in oct 2001. i have not had any inquiries or new credit since then. i just started to verify/dispute my credit report. EQ sore is 542 and EX is 542 also. offer goes like this. I got the same offer, but with an annual fee of $39. I had a BK in 10/97, discharged 2/98. Scores: TU=697 EXP=645 EQ=??? Tim
Well you do need to establish some new credit. I think you probably would get approved for Orchard, but they are not the best to deal with. You may want to search the board for some BK friendly banks that will get you approved.
as i'm reading the back of this it states: pre selected creditworthiness criteria that we established in connection with the offer must be met or verified before credit can actually be extended to you. your credit line will be based on income and other factors bearing on your current creditworthiness and will be at least $300.00
You can also apply online for immediate approval at www.orchardbank.com. They will do a pre-qualify and then if you hit submit they will tell you if you're approved. Beware they pull a HARD inquiry just to pre-qualify you, so if you get the inquiry you may as well hit submit.
i applied on sunday evening and they told me they would be reviewing my info. the cert did say i would have a 300.00 line of credit. well we'll see what i get in the mail.....
