hello board! i just got my orchard bank secured master card, first card since post bk!!! does anyone know if this will show up on my CR as secured or unsecured? also does anyone ever get turned down for a secured card? thanks all! zack
I'm not sure about Orchard, but American Pacific reports as unsecured. I am patiently waiting for mine. I noticed that my deposit check cleared my account today. That must mean I was approved! Now, in the past 2 weeks, I have opened 2 secured credit cards, and 2 secured installment loans. On my way to major credit repair for the future. To top off these 4 positives, on Monday I called National City to let them know that they were reporting an "included in bankruptcy" account as a charge off - which is incorrect. I pulled PG today, and the National City TL has been removed from all 3 reports! As for being declined for a secured loan - I would assume it is possible. Bank of America told me that since I had a BK on my credit report, they would not issue me a secured card. Citibank declined me for a savings account - and I had set up an auto-deposit of $3000. There reason was the BK.
congrats on the four positives. if you dont mind me asking where did you get a secure installment loan? i am intrested in doing this, but dont know where to get one. BOA told me the same thing about their secured card so dont feel bad. good to know they got removed. the same thing happened to me. its nice when they get off there that easy! good luck on the credit repair. i am travling down the same road as well. working on buying a house.
