okay after search over and over for a secure card these are the two i came down to that maybe would give me a chance on credit. i need some input on these cards. i already know they have high fees but i need to rebuild so i am not complaining. what are your experiences on both? also i noticed that after all the fees paid on the premier you would be left with 70 something dollars. is it possible to give a payment right away to up you limit again when you get the card? so the full 200 dollars would be available?
i have an Orchard card, about 3 yrs now. they are ok. I have a perfect history with them and have only had 1 credit increase. i started at $300 and am now at $565...all other inquiries for increases on my my asking have been declined. others on here have had better luck with them. all in all though they helped me re-establish my credit after a BK7 so it's not all bad. Orchard I got at 14.99% and it has never increased, evena t times i had it maxed and paid down and maxed and paid off etc... 1st premier I think is a rip-off. my SO had them and ended up cxling the card after repeated attempts to raise the limit after like 3 yrs at $300...too many fees in that and the apr was rediculous
I have Orchard and haven't had any problems. When I got it I complained about the annual fee and they offered a $200 limit increase. Which is what I was after. They are part of Household so down the road you may get offers from the other Household companies. I think it's a lot better than First Premier.
