Yeeeep. After 1 1/2 years with the big O, they finally gave me an Orchard Black Card. Relax, relax...it only has a $1000.00 limit on it. They didn't take away my other Orchard Card. It was at $950.00 but they also increased that $150 to $1,050.00. Both cards have $0 balance on them. Just figures though...just when I don't need any more credit or any credit card - that's when I get one. I didn't apply, they just said hey consumer ..how about a guaranteed Black card and I said hmmm okay. It came with checks with a 0% interest for 6 months for cash, transfer, purchase....whatever. Yeah I still get pre-approved from other cards with FEES just to get the card and I laugh..ha ha. Cause now I have my BLACK card...........in the sock drawer.
Amex question for your wife.....my company has a guaranteed approval for the basic Skymiles card....Over 10 years ago a relative unknowingly obtained the Green card in my name and ran up about $4K in charges. Account from my understanding is with a CA. Didn't want them to go to jail and all so I was stuck. I was only 17 at the time and I want this guaranteed card...is there any hope for me?
