does orchard report to each credit agency every month? my wife just got an orchard bank mastercard card, and I was wanting to get her to add me to it as an authorized user so it will help my credit. It is only a $1500.00 limit.

is that a good idea? will it help me any?

I know they report but I will leave it to one of the vets to tell you whether it will help your score or not.

I also think it will help, but I'm wondering if Orchard is considered a sub-prime lender, and if so, are they viewed the same way finance companies are by prospective creditors?

do you mean that having a sub-prime lender on my credit report, even though it would be paid on time and whatnot could be bad for my score?

I'm not saying that, I was wondering if that would be the case with a card that is generally recognized as a subprime card, because I have heard that if you have a finance company on your report, even with perfect payment history, it may hurt your score. This is just a hypothetical question.
