I have to say that the 2 reps I talked with on the phone this evening displayed the best customer service I have ever had compared to any of the other lenders..I have been a joint on a Orchard card since July CL was $500 APr 18.9..In Dec recieved an offer for a card with a $300 limit and a 9.9 APR..In Jan recieved another card with a $1000 limit and a 18.9% apr..Just combined all 3 cards to make 1 card with a $1800 limit and a 9.9% apr (a keeper).. Just got off phone with a rep and she asked if I had a Car loan. Explained that I did and she said that she thinks do to my payment history that they could beat my current apr. Has anyone else refinanced with Orchard or Household Auto Finance ? WOuld go through a credit union but my scores are from about 560 to 610.. Getsmart Providian Capone Cross COuntry FCNB Target Visa (AU) Are the other accounts that I do have as well as an AUto loan opened up in Dec..Never late on any cards and all cards were opened between April 2001 and July 2001..ALl negatives on report are from 1996 What are my chances for a refi with them or a CU ??
I would avoid HH for refinancing. They'll give you a high APR. Your experience with them has been much different than mine. I've had their paltry card for 0ver a year now...my FICO twice as high now...they want me to put up a "security" deposit for an unsecured card. For what? I keep this card striclty for the ratios, nothing more. I've heard horrible things about Household too. Calmest_LA
Yes I too have heard bad things and trust me I was shocked when I recieved a card from them with rate of 9.9% and allowing me to dump the other cards to combine accounts..Only thing close to that rate with my other cards is a Cap One Plat with a 14.9 apr..But so far everything has been pain free with them...I send them 2 payments a month either through their online system or through my Banks Electronic payment system..I have had more problems with telemarketing from Providian than anyone else so I have to say that I am very pleased with them.. But I guess I should wait to see if a Credit Union would pick me up first.. As far as Customer service goes Orchard #1 Cross Country #2 ( Yeah I know ) Fcnb #3 Providian #4 Cap One NA as of right now..Too new to rate haha
