I applied for an Orchard card on line and got an instant denial message. How hard is it to get an Orchard account? I thought they were supposed to be more lenient. I just received an Aria card (although the limit is like $250).
Also, is there somewhere on the internet that you can apply for a Providian card, or do you have to call? And will they let you have an Aria and a Providian card?
    Any info is appreciated!!

The only way you can apply online is with the Aria card. I haven't found another online application with them.

I attempted to get a Providian VISA while my Aria account was current, and was unable to do so. Like Eboni, I could find no online application; I received a flyer in the mail and called.

    Cheers and Prosperity,

If you have any of the cable channels, you will be bombarded with advertisments from Providian. You apply by calling an 800 number.

You can not have the providian visa and an Aria visa. Since you already approved for the aria, you would have to cancel it and then apply for the providian visa.

I've heard that from quite a few people here, but there are also quite a few who say they have both. My daughter, for instance, has both a Providian Gold and an Aria Persona. She applied for them and received them within a couple months of each other.

    roni--

you are correct. I have a visa and received an offer for a mastercard. The offer acknowledged that I already had the visa.

Not neccisarily so, I have both a providian visa, and an aria visa. No problems here.

WRONG...........They changed the rules and you can now have a Providian and Aria at the same time, no problem....Have had Prov. Gold limit 6600 for awhile and they just did an on-line approval last month for Aria and it came with 2000 limit

    RE: Orchard/Providian..PS

The thing is you have to apply at LEAST THREE
MONTHS APART or it will deny, per the customer service dept.

You can have a mastercard and a visa from providian . I do .. They mastercard you don't apply for they send you the application preapproved if you keep your orginal classic account in excellent shape. Then they Figure they could rip you off twice as much with anther card lol :) ..

I applied for both about the same time. I received both the Aria visa and Providian gold visa on the same day. Although their on-line banking will not allow you to register 2 cards simutainously.

Orchard isn't hard to get although I have to admit that I don't fully understand the criteria that CC's use. I'm starting to believe that it is very random. I have been repeatedly turned down for Capitol 1, and other sub-primes, took a chance and applied for an UNSECURED Orchard card and received one! My credit is pretty bad--a couple of chapter 13's although dismissed, judgmemts, charge-off's, and much more!

Same thing happened to me. I was told I could not have two accounts, yet they keep sending me an offer for a Mastercard. Go figure...

Both of my daughter's cards are Visa cards. If it's any consolation, they both suck, with no grace period and an interest rate that would make the mafia cringe! :)
