Hello to anyone that can help me with my situation. Experian listed a judgement on my credit report for an old school loan for $600.00 that had been VACATED by the courts. I sent a letter AND a copy of the "Order to Vacate" back in March of this year to Experian for them to delete the entry from my report. Since I have just started again on my credit repair I pulled my report and there it was! The only difference in the entry was listed as "liability not reported"; "Asset Amount not reported". Also, now the college has an entry with the following: Account Status: Closed; Monthly Payment $0; Date Open: Feb 1989; Balance $0; Balance Date: 11/26/03; High Balance: Not Reported; Past Due: $0; Remarks: "paid, was a collection account, insurance claim or government claim or was terminated for default. This account I originally "negoitiated" with the collection agency that if they deleted it from my report I would include it in my debt consolidation and pay if off. They agreed and signed on the .....line. Sorry this is so long, but I need to make sure I make the right "next step" PLEASE HELP!
You might want to check with the courthouse as your first step and make sure that they have truly vacated the judgment. The CRAs send people there to pull public records then they report, right or wrong, what they find.
