Does anybody know how long the OC is obligated to keep credit card slips, statements, and applications from your account?. Are they obligated to keep these items for 7 years?. If they don't is this a violation with the IRS?

Why don't you ask this question on bankersonline.com?

Banks, specifically, have requirements to keep some loan or credit application paperwork long enough that it can be audited for compliance with anti-discrimination laws. That would mostly apply to documentation of offers, applications, and the resulting accounts opened.
