OSI and ASSet - legal contacts?

I am preparing to fax an intent to sue letter to both OSI and ASSet Acceptance. Does anyone have a legal contact person and a fax number for either of these "companies"?

Also, has anyone else had any experience dealing with either OSI or ASSet on this level?

OSI sent me a copy of an unsigned retail installment contract and continues to report the bogus account on my Equifax credit report.

Asset was deleted from Experian and TU, but updated on Equifax as a $0 balance (it was $1463) - but it is still listed and I WANT IT OFF!!! And they have not responded to any of my THREE certified letters.

Any info on either of these will be greatly appreciated!

I'm in the same boat as you with AAC. I just finished writing up my final letter to them, directed at their CEO. Still looking for a fax number to him, or one to their legal counsel.

For Asset it's Mr. Michael Beach, Corporate Counsel.
    Fax# 586-446-7832

For Gulf State/ OSI is's Mr. Samuel Shannon
    Fax# 678-417-5049

That fax is really good for Gulf State. I got a letter of deletion within 12 hours of sending a VERY strongly worded letter.

For Asset, Mr. Beach just ignored it. Don't know what else to do with them but actually sue them. I'm looking into that next week via Federal District. I have them on a ton of violations. I'm sick of their crap.

I'm really interested in getting Mr. Beach's e-mail. Anyone out there have ANY e-mails for Asset?

    girliegirl,
I have terrible experiance with them too.
Before you sue them ,File a complain with your State attorney General, WWW.bbb.org and www.FTC.org . Also you may go to you city's small claim court to file an official complaint against OSI aka Gulf state Credits.

I definitely encourage you to take any action against them. They are evil and a big bag of dirt.

    Yes I have.

Not yet. But I will if they know what's good for them.

He contacted me (in writing) after I filed complaints with a few regulatory agencies. His response was less than helpful. Actually, his response was a complete joke.

Hmmmm~ Very interesting. I have them on so much stuff it isn't even funny. Here's what's going on with me and ASSet:

I saw them on my CR back in March reporting some alleged "debt". I sent them a standard validate letter and instead of sending any type of validation they sent me an initial letter saying "welcome to asset". This letter had the mini-miranda in it stating that I had 30 days to dispute. I sent another letter to them stating that they had better validate. No response. 30 days passes, they are still reporting and NOT marking in dispute. I send a second notice. No response. I sent a faxed a final and third notice last week to this Michael guy and haven't heard a peep. I guess, I'm just going to have to go to FTC and BBB. I would love to file on them, but I live out of the country in a US territory and I don't think I can serve someone who doesn't live here. I'm doing some research and hopefully after my blazing FTC complaint, I'll get somewhere.

What are you doing with them next Mindcrime? Are you filing suit?

Whatever you're going to put in your complaint to FTC, be sure to say it to the BBB as well. The reason, FTC will not act on your behalf, rather they will take your complaint and file it until they have enough complaints against AAC and only then take action.

My next step is a final notice before filing, which I'm going to fax. If I get no response, I'll be taking a trip down to my local courthouse.

    Good luck to you.

I have to tell you all - I spoke to Samuel Shannon today on the phone. I don't know what number I called - I have a zillion of them for OSI - but after being "transferred" six times (because my fax wouldn't go through), I finally spoke to a nice lady who transferred me directly to Mr. Shannon.

Let me tell you all - he was so pleasant to deal with. Honestly, he was the nicest man - he listened to my story and closed the file right there on the spot, faxed me a letter saying that the file had been closed and that the all three CRA's would be notified that they are to delete the account from my credit reports immediately.

Really, he is much, much too nice to be associated with OSI/Gulf State in any way, and I told him so.

If you are having a problem with OSI/Gulf State, get in contact with this guy. He is a very honest and very kind. (And please be nice to him.)

Asset has been deleted from both EXP and TU. But when I disputed in May on EQ, they changed it to a $0 balance and it is listed as an 01. What does "01" mean? When I finally get this thing deleted - will my score change much? I don't care whether it affects my score or not, I want it OFF!

I faxed Michael Beach my final letter yesterday. I am going to file suit on Monday if I haven't heard from him.

Wouldn't it be too funny if Asset got all of our summons on the same day???
