Sent validation letter for dh a couple of weeks ago, and in the mail today I get a "generic" letter from their portfolio department addressed to A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSON, but with OUR address!!!!The account numbers are similar, but whoever sent this to us is dyslexic because they reversed 2 numbers....the letter states they are forwarding my dh's correspondence to their dispute department for processing. So I guess I'm to assume that this is NOT our letter, right???? I hope they fail to validate so I can show them how stupid they are!
Idiots. I got that same letter after I sent my first validation to them last October. They never sent another thing until I threatened to sue them. Then they requested copies of drivers license, ss card and my signature 5 times. That is when I called their compliance dep't and asked how they wanted me proceed. They deleted it immediately. Send your follow up at 30 days.
I just got a letter from them stating that they apologize and are deleting everything under OSI and Gulf State. I called to make sure and they confirmed the information. If there is a problem, I am taking them to court. Of course this letter comes on the heels of getting the lawsuit information from equifax that affected everyone in IL who has an account with them. We will see if they follow through.
