Need help getting rid of OSI. I had this removed through Lexington Law Firm on my EQ and TU, however it remains on my Experian. This was opened 1/00, first reported 6/00 and scheduled to remain on the report until 7/06. Verified 10/01. How come everyone budged but freaking EXP! I paid this account 6/1/00. This will be one of my final steps to clearing up my credit.

Even though you paid it, I would suggest you send OSI/Gulf State, a validation letter. They won't be able to validate it. A few days after you send it (certified mail of course), dispute it again. OSI usually does not verify. When they fail to validate after 30 days, call the compliance dep't at OSI, and ask them when they plan to delete the acct. It may not get that far though. As I said, they usually don't verify.
