Hi everyone, I know its been a long time since I have posted but I am in the middle of buying a house. However, I do have a question for the community. OSI has suddenly put an unauthorized inquiry on the EXP CR. Last year I was a victim of the OSI/Palisade collection TLs that were removed. I have just gotten off the phone with EXP and OSI both of which have been of little help. At EXP, spoke with Tia (who is a supervisor), and she informed me that they have a permissible purpose if they are in good standing with the EXP and refused to dispute it unless I was the victim of fraud. So of course she was of no help. Told me to call OSI, for which they did not have a number. Found the number for OSI; they told me the account that I had disputed is closed (even though I honestly never had this supposed account from ATT opened in 1996). I need this inquiry removed. Where should I go from here? I am closing on the house on the 30th. I don't think that they will be pulling another report but I don't want this showing up either, especially since it really is not mine!! Thanks, A
Well thats just plain bs but again, its EX! Do get it off fast you may have to send an ITS to OSI for no PP. Give them 72 hours to remove or you are suing for $1000. Hope it works for you! Also, I would call the "Opt Out" number. I've read advice on here soooo many times that once you go mortgage shopping CA's come out of the woodwork. Although opting out won't stop them from pulling hards, they can't get any information that you are mortgage shopping.
Just got off of the phone with a supervisor from the place where the inquiry originated. He had the nerve to hang up on me saying that I am not in the system and that he couldn't help me. I have his bosses name and the lady at EXP. An ITS is going out today.... Thanks, A
Please remember that OSI is in Bankrupty court, so being able to proceed with a lawsuit (as opposed to filing one) may be problematic.
Re: Re: OSI unauthorized inquiry they are just reorganizing right? They are not under the bankruptcy in which they are not able to pay any $ out, right? As a matter of fact, I am not necessarily worried about any money, I just want the unauthorized inquiry removed.... Thanks, A
