I have an older friend that had a tough marriage.. basically what ended up happening is that she has several tax liens placed on her credit report.. after digging a bit deeper into the story, it is because the husband always took care of the taxes.. however, over the past years, taxes were never done.. my question is, how would she go about doing her taxes for years 91-94? She has her W2's or at least wrote to the IRS for the copies of the numbers again.. but will turbo tax 2000 allow her to file them for older ones like that? I figured she can file separately w/ married status.. Any help from anyone? Thx..
I would not use Turbo tax to do 91-94 returns. At this point (depending on your friend's tax status) I would seek a CPA or a tax attorney for advice. Tax laws do change and there might be other tax issue concerns. Best regards, Sam
No, Turbo Tax forms are specific to the year of the program. You would have to get Turbo Tax for that year to use the proper ones. You can try the irs website to get the basic forms, but you will have to complete via hand..........
