very likely anyway - We live in the capital and they have been pushing REALLY hard for this tax. Here is the link to the story for residents of MT or anyone who likes to buy non-taxed goods here:

My favorite line is "Montanans will have a chance to try it" -lol- Sure. I'm sure they will let us say "we don't like it" and simply send it away! ;)

Does anyone know if resale shops are subject to sales tax? Garage sales? Donations? And are my daughter's medically required visual aids and OTC eye patches covered under medical-related costs?

Here is what happened here in Ohio:
We never had an income tax till Gilligan became Gov.
The Income tax was supposed to help fund the schools and realease the load on property taxes.
    Want to know what happened?
    YOU GUESSED IT!
Reale estate takes went up instead of down and now we are paying the income tax on top of the property tax.
YOU CAN BET when they start talking a new tax offseting an old one you will always end up paying more.

I wouldn't doubt it. I will do everything I can to avoid paying the sales tax - our state income tax is horrendous already as are property tax rates. I guess I will stock up a little before the tax is enacted. Sigh...

    lol Gosh no.

We recently heard a rumor that the city not only wants to build that highway, but they want to make us all move our homes and put golf course on the land! If that happens, I think we will seriously consider moving to a state that does not tax at every turn and does not choose tourist income over the families that actually live there.
