Are there any online brokers that let you sign up to your account, fund your account by credit card, and start trading right away, without having to mail anything in? Basically I want to have the opportunity of signing up to a broker on a whim without waiting a few days for mailing and processing.
Mosdef, Funding a brokerage account with a credit card causes what are known as "Reg U" problems and brokerage firms won't do it. Also, online firms won't place an order unless the account is funded. If you want to play with cc money, open the account and the day before you trade, get a ca off the card and wire the funds to your broker.
