I know this isn't credit related but I sure have the jitters and could use all the luck I can get! I've been working nights for the past 5 years with my current company. My husband was recently switched to 2nd shift. Needless to say, we never get to see our kids because they're at school and we are at work. Hopefully today, my co. will be announcing the moves they're making for the Ops Supervisors (I'm one of them). Word on the street is I'm getting moved to days!!! This would be such a huge help to my family. We're paying through the nose for childcare right now and if I worked days, we'd only need our sitter for a few hours each day rather than the 10 hours now! They were supposed to announce it LAST Wed. but they didn't- now they're saying today is the day. Crossing all my fingers!!!
U will get it just imagine that u have the position. I no the filling worked minight when i was in college they say 1out of 16 people ajust to that shift. Good luck!
Thanks everybody! I'm at work right now (shh!)but they're not going to announce where they are moving us until next week! I swear they're doing this on purpose...so I have to keep my fingers crossed over the weekend I guess.
Bad news... just found out they're keeping me on 2nd shift. I am so disappointed right now. I have no idea what to do- there is no way my husband and I can continue with our work schedules they are now... Well, guess it's time to update my resume!

Thanks Chi! I'm scared to leave with the economy the way it is but I haven't been happy there in a LONG time. I was just so shocked when they told me- the ops mgr has told me since September that after season I'd be moving to days. I'm still fuming- my immediate mgr says to fight the decision but what can you do? So, if anyone needs a Distribution/Logistics Supervisor with over 8 years of experience let me know!
