I am doing my Mom's taxes for her.. she is opening a traditional IRA for the first time this year, before April 15. While doing the taxes, Turbo Tax seems to categorize the $2k contribution as "Nondeductible Traditional IRA".. is this correct?? I want to make sure this is allowing her to pay less taxes..
APRIL 15th is the last day...it is deductable...you must have answered some other question wrong to make it NON-DEDUCTABLE...Like she has $200,000+ income or some such number I don't know off the top of my head...
Money amount made was 30k. Filing separate but married.. the checkbox I found out that determines this is the section 13, Retirement Plan Section. This is checked on the w form from work. I am using turbo tax.. any idea?? Also, the CASDI is 267.47. Thanks again..
