Has anyone had any experience with Sprint? In this day when long distance is too competitive , I had a foolish whim to switch. On 3/13 Sprint gave me 500 anytime min for $25.00 flat rate+$4.95 monthly fee. Which I didn't even know about till the bill came.
I was with them 4 days when my old company called and offered me a better deal. 500 min for $10.95 and no monthly fee, so I switched back. I got my first bill from Sprint shortly after. they whacked me a whopping $37.00 for 68 min for 3/13 - 3/18. I paid it without any consideration because I felt it would be easier to just get it over with and I wouldn't be getting any future bills from them. On 4/16 I received a postcard saying that they couldn't switch my service because there was a block on my local phone preventing the switch. And to please call my local telco. I called Sprint and found out that I had current service with them and was being charged for my calls since 3/18. HOW? if they couldn't switch it over? I called MCI and they said I have been with them since 3/18 also. The rep at sprint told me that everything had been corrected and I shouldn't receive another bill and that my service was cancelled as of 3/18.

Sorry this is so long guys:) Today I got another bill from 3/19 - 4/2 for $29.00 My service for April I assume. I got know where with Sprints customer service. She tells me that my service wasn't canceled until I called on 4/16. OK, If I add it up, I owe Sprint a total of $66 bucks for not even close to 500 min. for a total of 20 days. Pretty steep don't you think. Of course Sprint is blaming MCI and MCI is blaming Sprint. Besides, I am being billed by MCI for the same calls.

Please help me out with this one. Its just a little money, but its the principal of the thing. I don't want it to go to collections if I should refuse to pay it. What should I do?

It is impossible to be billed for the same calls over two different networks, so that part I do not understand. Sounds like you were being casually billed, so ask for a re-rate.

It looks like they billed in advance, my current bill must be for next month but I canceled service (according to their records) before it cycled. When I talked to the rep. she refused to adjust the bill. I'll be calling for a supervisor tomorrow. The rep I talked to on 3/16 said it was all taken care of. Guess NOT!!!

There's state laws about cramming and slamming. Have you checked the Attorney General's site for your state, under consumer issues, or Secretary of State?
