My turn to vent a little... I am in the IT field also. This is a call that I have gotten a few times: User: I am trying to enter the number of items I want to order but when I hit the number, nothing shows in the field. Me: Are you using the number pad on the right side of the keyboard? User: Yes Me: Try using the numbers at the top of the keyboard. User: That worked! Me: Go back over to the 10-key pad on the right side of the keyboard and press the key that says 'numlock'. There is also a light there that says 'numlock. Is it on? User: I don't see it. Me: Its in the top row, above the '7'. User: Oh, okay Me: Now try to enter a number in the blank using the 10-key pad User: Oh, okay. Yeah. MORAL OF THE STORY: IF YOU ARE REQUIRED TO USE A COMPUTER TO WORK, YOU SHOULD HAVE SOME TYPE OF COMPUTER LITERACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
