A while back there were several posts in non-English languages. I know at least one of the posters used a translation program on the Net---I've searched and cannot find it--any help out there? It's German and I don't want to wait till my husband comes homes Thanks! AnnMarie
<http://babelfish.altavista.com/translate.dyn> WAS HEUTE IST, FREITAG. ICH NAHM DEUTSCHEN BIN HIGH SCHOOL. HABEN SIE EINEN SCHÃ?â??NEN TAG. GEORGE
In English: WHICH TODAY IS, FRIDAY. I TOOK GERMANS AM HIGH SCHOOL. HAVE SCHÃ??NEN A DAY GEORGE Pretty good for High School German!
Vielen Dank! Ich schätze es gro! AnnMarie Mein Ehemann nahm auch Deutschen für vier Jahre in der High School. Das erste mal er mir erklärte, liebte er mich, es war auf Deutsch. Es dauerte mir Wochen zur Entdeckung jemand, um sie für mich zu übersetzen. Junge, war da eine berraschung!
I JUST USED THE TRANSLATOR AND TYPED IT IN ENGLISH TO GERMAN... SORRY I CHEATED... GERMAN WAS IN THE 70'S I'M TOO TIRED.
Tomé a españoles en High School secundaria y puedo decir solamente cosas como: Donde está el cuarto de baño, donde está mi cama, donde está mi cerveza. Anyways, engañé también. LOL
Sure!! Pretend that we don't speak English, and watch them not verify in 30 days!!! Could work to our advantage!
No necessita ninguna pragrama de traducciones, ni en espanol ni Aleman ni otras. El unica problema is que este programma ni el programa viejo aceptan los characters con el tilde arriba, entonces es impossible hacer mensajes correctos in nada mas el ingles. Don Bill Bauer a sus servicios en casi qualquier idioma. I speak every language in the world except Greek. If you doubt me, just try to name one you think I probably don't know. bbauer1@netzero.net

They might know about babelfish too. Problem is that Portugese as the translator translates it is formal portugese, not street portugese. What that means is that you becomes Thee and Thou and formal Biblical English, so that you still might come up looking like a nut. Formal Castillian spanish is the same way. Formal Castillian spanish is used in most of the South American countries, so when you speak to a Brazilian for instance in Spanish, it all comes out USTED, even SU Merced, Castillian never uses the informal Tu found in everyday Spanish. German also has both High German and Low German, depending upon which part of the country the speaker hails from. The differences are so great that they often have big problems understanding each other, so you have to know the language well enough to be able to converse fluently in either. Vietnamese and other eastern dialects are even worse and can have hundreds of dialects within the same language. Bill Bauer bbauer1@netzero.net
HIGH GERMAN AND LOW GERMAN really do exist...I had to re-learn GERMAN in HIGH SCHOOL...learned it ALL wrong in sixth grade...
WIE SIE HEUTE SIND. Ich Bin Fein. I Zu Deutsch Im 6. Grad Und In der High School. Haben Sie Einen Schönen Tag.
Like so many other pat answers, the translators are very poor indeed. What you typed in was WIE SIE HEUTE SIND. Ich Bin Fein. and it goes on from there. How are you? I am fine What popped out the other end was AS THEY TODAY ARE. I am fine. It just might not come out exactly as you intended it to do. Bill Bauer bbauer1@netzero.net
