I need to upload 2-3 gigs to an offsite harddrive to reformat my HD.

    Any Ideas?

Unfortunately, the majority of "free" Internet HDs have either a) gone out of business or b) went to a charge for space business model. I did a google search and found this listing that is quite an eye opener regarding this "industry"...

http://www.dailyedeals.com/free_internet/disk_space.htm ... scroll down toward the bottom of the page for the listing..

I don't know if you have a CD-RW burner, but what I do is use Power Quest Drive Image to back up my data. I usually back up around 25gig worth of stuff, and Drive Image takes that down to about 8gig. I use about 15 CD-RWs that I constantly write over. Takes a little while, but it better than losing my entire system (been there, done that -- not fun!)

For 2-3 gig, I'm sure you won't need more than 2 CDs or so. Again, all of this is predicated on you having a CD burner, so I hope this helps! There may are probably other (better) solutions out there.

    As always...

Either burn to CDs or just go to best buy and drop 80 bucks on a new 40 or 60 gig HD and use it as your new one and the current one as a backup in the system.
